FAQ

Have you done this before?
Yes. We ran it quarterly for MBA1+2s since spring 2017, to great success (including many matches!).

Who has access to the data?
Just the one MBA2 who's actually running the (very advanced Excel) algorithm. It will never leave this student or reach anyone else's eyes, including future students working on GSLove. Ever. You have our assurance.

What happens to the data?
The form data is saved to make the matches and send match emails, and then never available again. No records, nothing else. Ever. And don't worry - we don't use the financial aid office to help secure data.

How do you protect against any funny business?
To confirm that the submission indeed came from who says they sent it in, we require use of a unique link we send to each student. This includes an embedded private password validating it's actually you. Someone can "submit" with the wrong password, but we'll discard that data when we check the password at match-time. This ensures no one can guess your password and spoof you.

Why am I getting emails saying someone put me down? Don't people know I'm in a relationship?
Some folks show friend love - a real love too! If you'd prefer recieving no messages, there's an opt-out below every email. You may need to opt-out every quarter.

How does the "Surprise Bouquet" matching feature work?
We find someone else who has complementary gender preferences and match them to you. You'll get at least one match this way. If gender preference balance is off, you may get more than one.

Why so anonymous?
We want some GSLove too, and by having our name out there, we're scared people won't put us down. This is the best solution we came up with.
